My son and I commute together on certain days, and we always have good conversations. I usually ask about his school, ministry and his faith. Often, we would talk about spiritual stuff and get weird. One time I shared my devotion to him—I already forgot what My devotion was about—and it led him to share his thoughts regarding physical encounters with God. He thinks that it is impossible for people to have a face to face encounter with God today because the advancement of technology has made it too easy for people to sin. There is no place for a Holy God here on earth. It made sense to me. I envied Abraham, Moses, Jacob, and the others who had physical encounters with God. I added that maybe technological advancement in the other fields of science also minimised supernatural healing. Men can heal almost all diseases so there is really no need for God to step in. I still hear about miraculous healing for cancer and the like, but of course, the spiritual healers are not accessible anymore. We never really had a conclusion about this topic. Hey, maybe you can share your thoughts and help us out! If people listened to us, they’d probably think we’re crazy. Who talks about physical encounters with God and supernatural healing nowadays? Well, I guess I’m okay with that. I’m okay to be labelled as crazy if it’s for Jesus. My faith says that all the advancement in technology and sciences will prove the reality of God. My faith says that everything on earth is insignificant and only the Word of God bears weight. It is eternal. It is true. All that is written in the Bible will come to pass. I may be crazy in the eyes of man, but when I reunite with my Father in Heaven, He will receive me with open arms and I will hear Him say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant!”
Romans 12:2
New International Version (NIV) 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
