My baby started walking a few days ago. I watched him as he took his first step, wobbled, regained his balance, laughed because he didn’t fall, and took another step. I saw in his eyes that he was proud of himself. He made two more steps before he landed in my hands.
I laughed out loud and hugged him tightly. My boy, who spent his first few months lying on our bed and crawling on the floor walked finally! His achievement filled my heart with so much joy.
My baby didn’t run a marathon or climbed the peak of Everest, but it sure felt like he did. The happiness within me was overwhelming.
I imagined our perfect Father in heaven. He is looking over us. He watches our steps. I see Him rejoicing with us as we take each step and keep our balance. I see His hand catching us everytime we fall. He watches us with pride in his eyes, and it doesn’t take much to impress Him because He loves us so much.
God cares for us, and His affection is unconditional. The least we can do is aim higher to be like Jesus, spread positivity and promote good vibes!
Ephesians 2:4-9 New International Version (NIV)
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
